Lagos is perfect for surfing holidays because of it's unique location. On the south west tip of Portugal you are free to enjoy the surf on the Atlantic coast to the west, or the different ocean patterns found round the corner on the south coast. In Lagos the climate is much warmer than the west coast of Portugal as the chart above shows.
Lagos is uniquely situated to take advantage of swell from 3 different directions, maximising the opportunities to find perfect surf.

The local culture is very relaxed and friendly. Seafood restaurants are as plentiful as you'd expect, but there's still enough variety to suit everyone and it's not expensive - perfect for dining outside as the day cools, perhaps by the marina or on one of the many cobbled side streets in the historic town centre.
