"Davos is a resort that needs to be visited a number of times. It sprawls along the bottom of the Davos valley with the 5 mountain areas either side. It's a working town, and so far less snobby than similar places. More importantly, Davos offers access to some major snowboarding terrain - there's enough stuff here to keep any rider busy for a long time. Freeriders will wet themselves when they see the off- piste opportunities, which are mega and best checked out with the services of a guide. Freestylers have long been provided with a good pipe an park area, and the shaped pipe at the bottom of the Jakobshorn is pretty faultless and shaped twice a week. The main park has kickers, a quarter pipe, rollers and various rails - there's a 110m superpipe up there as well. Away from the park there's an abundance of good natural freestyle terrain." |
